Shreya Ghoshal (born July 23, 2000) was born in Berhampore, Murshidabad, West Bengal, India. She is an Indian singer who has become one of the most popular playback singers in India. She has won numerous awards for her work, including four National Film Awards, four Kerala State Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, two BFJA Awards, seven Filmfare Awards and ten Filmfare Awards South. Ghoshal has recorded songs for films and albums in various Indian languages, showcasing her versatility and talent as a singer.

Ghoshal's love for music began at a young age, with her starting her formal training in classical music at the age of six. She exhibited her talent at the age of sixteen when she won the television singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma, and was subsequently discovered by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mother.
