Divine Ikubor (born May 1, 2000) was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian musician, rapper and singer, professionally known as Rema. Rema's music has been described as a fusion of Afrobeats, trap, and pop. He is known for his catchy melodies, unique voice, and energetic performances.

Rema was discovered by D'Prince, a Nigerian singer and record producer who is also the younger brother of popular Nigerian musician, Don Jazzy. D'Prince signed Rema to Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019.

Rema's debut single "Iron Man" was released in 2019 and received critical acclaim in Nigeria and beyond. He followed up with "Dumebi", which became a viral hit and peaked at number 5 on the Apple Music charts in Nigeria.

In October 2019, Rema was named as one of the 10 African artists to watch by The New York Times. He went on to win the Next Rated award at the 2019 Headies Awards, one of Nigeria's most prestigious music awards.
