Polish Rapper & Music Producer
Kamil Łanka (born June 21, 1989) was born in Kraków, Poland. He is a Polish rapper and music producer. He is professionally known as Lanek. He has become a prominent figure in the Polish hip-hop scene, particularly through his work with SBM Label, one of Poland's top hip-hop labels. Lanek frequently collaborates with well-known Polish rappers, including Białas, Bedoes, and Taco Hemingway.
Lanek first gained recognition for his production work with Kobik, and soon after, he became a key producer for Solar and Białas. His contributions to tracks like "Corolla Music," "JBMNT RMX," "One Live," and "Vladimir Putin" helped shape their music style. He also co-produced Białas' mixtape In Hajs We Trust and albums like prePOLON and POLON. Another notable collaboration was with PlanBe on the album Fantasmagoria.
Lanek's talent and influence in the industry have earned him critical acclaim. He co-produced Rewolucja Romantyczna (Romantic Revolution), which achieved double platinum certification, and Opowieści z Doliny Smoków (Tales from the Valley of the Dragons), which was certified diamond, marking significant achievements in Polish hip-hop.
In addition to his collaborations, Lanek continues to innovate in the genre, currently working on the album Tales from the Dragon Valley, a follow-up to his previous success. The album will also feature a limited English-language EP titled 2119, reflecting his ambition to reach an international audience.
Lanek's influence on the Polish rap scene is undeniable, making him a key player in shaping the country's contemporary hip-hop sound.
