Jarad Anthony Higgins (born December 2, 1998 - died December 8, 2019) was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is professionally known as Juice WRLD. Tragically, he passed away at the young age of 21, following a drug overdose. Despite his short time in the spotlight, Juice WRLD made a significant impact on the music industry and gained a loyal following due to his unique style and lyrical abilities.

Juice WRLD gained popularity in the mid-late 2010s as a leading figure in the emo rap and SoundCloud rap genres. He derived his stage name from the movie Juice (1992), stating that it represented "taking over the world." In 2015, he began his career as an independent artist, and in 2017, he signed a recording contract with Grade A Productions and Interscope Records.
