Chancelor Johnathan Bennett (born April 16, 1993) was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He is professionally known as Chance the Rapper. Bennett made his first splash in the music industry in 2012 with the release of his debut mixtape, 10 Day. The album garnered attention for its unique blend of hip-hop, soul, and gospel elements. In 2013, he followed up with the release of his second mixtape, Acid Rap, which quickly gained mainstream recognition and propelled him into the national spotlight.
