Best of Passenger Singles Lyrics

English 7 January 1, 2001

Passenger is an English singer-songwriter known for his indie folk music. He is best known for his 2012 hit song "Let Her Go," which reached number one in 16 countries. In 2014, the song was nominated for the Brit Award for British Single of the Year, and Rosenberg won the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work for it.

Rosenberg's musical journey began at age 16 with his first performance. In 2001, his father, who worked in film production, introduced him to Jamie Catto, a former member of the band Faithless. This connection led to Rosenberg securing a two-song spot at the Free Burma Campaign benefit concert at the Royal Court in London in 2002. That night, he met his future writing partner, Andrew Phillips, and connected with the IE Music label.

Back in Brighton, Rosenberg and Phillips combined their musical influences, ranging from Simon & Garfunkel to DJ Shadow, and started writing songs at Phillips' home studio in Hove. In 2003, they formed the Mike Rosenberg Band, bringing in Marcus O'Dair on bass, Alon Cohen on drums, and Richard Brinklow on keyboards, all through connections within the Brighton music scene.

In the same year, Rosenberg and Phillips founded the band Passenger in Brighton and Hove. The band's name was stylized as /Passenger. (with a slash at the beginning and a dot at the end). Their only album, Wicked Man's Rest, was released in 2007 on Chalkmark. Rosenberg wrote most of the album's tracks, except for "Four Horses," which was written by Phillips. The band broke up in 2009, and Rosenberg continued to use the name Passenger as a solo artist. Below you can find a to z all track details, with lyrics and videos.
