"Megan" is the third studio album by American rapper Megan Thee Stallion, released on June 28, 2024. This album marks her first release under her independent label, Hot Girl Productions, after leaving her former labels, 300 Entertainment and 1501 Certified. It features three singles: "Cobra," the Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit "Hiss," and "Boa." To promote the album, Megan is on her first headlining tour, the Hot Girl Summer Tour.
On October 19, 2023, Megan and 1501 Certified parted ways. Soon after, Megan announced on Instagram that she would self-fund her new album. The album has a snake theme, reflected in the single titles and imagery. On October 23, Megan teased her album on social media, saying, "Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past, over and over again." In early 2024, Megan signed a distribution deal with Warner Music Group, giving her the creative freedom of an independent artist with the support of a major company.
In a January 2024 interview with Good Morning America, Megan revealed plans for a summer tour. On March 20, she officially announced the Hot Girl Summer Tour, which started on May 14 in Minneapolis and will end on July 27 in Washington, D.C. She announced the album's release at her Atlanta concert.
The lead single, "Cobra," was released on November 3, 2023, with a music video directed by Douglas Bernardt. A rock remix featuring Spiritbox was released five days later. "Cobra" peaked at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The second single, "Hiss," came out on January 26, 2024, also with a Douglas Bernardt-directed video. "Hiss" debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200.
